KeymasterHi Kathleen, good question and thanks for asking, it was as you have spotted done when the leaves are almost dry, then you can use the darkness of the trunk to negatively paint around the leaves
Hope this helps and look forwards to seeing your results
Take care

KeymasterHi Diana, thanks for a great question, I would say just practice your natural strokes with the brush to start with and be quite tough with the movement…not light and delicate and use the reverse side to not just the wide angle of the brush.
Hope this helps

KeymasterHi Kristina, good question, I use student grade paints mostly because they have less pigment in them in comparison to artist grade paint which allows them to mix more freely on the paper. By all means use your artists ones but be aware that if they dont blend to easily of not at all this is most likely the reason Thanks again Andrew

KeymasterHi Stephanie, Thanks for asking, they are in various places so there are 172 tutorials so far, 30 loose beginners, 52 Challenges 124 past broadcasts and 2 or 3 new ones added every week…so it should keep you painting for about 3 years I think 🙂

KeymasterHi Sue, lets help you get this issue sorted.
Have you tried logging out and then in again?
This may nudge it back in to action
Is it with all the tutorials or just 1? (if so let us know and we will check it this end )
Have you tried from another device?
Thanks for your patience and we will sort it asap

KeymasterHi I generally use a small size of watercolour paper approx 15 cm x 25cm this helps you learn the process with out the need to learn extra control that you may need for larger pieces of paper. Choose a format, rectangle, square etc to suit the subject
Hope this helps

KeymasterHi Lorna, thanks for your question, it sounds like to much water to start with, I would experiement on scape paper by placing down your normal amount of water then see what happens then do it again and reduce the amount of water you initially use. Also you may be dropping all of your 2 colours directly into the water try placing the 1st colour into the water then the 2nd more onto the dry area next to it and dragging the paint to join the water that way you have a wet colour and a semi dry colour
Hope this helps you

KeymasterHi Beth, thank you for asking and yes theres plenty to choose from. Iw ould start with the beginners and level 1 tutorials also look at the tips and techniques area as this will give you a good overall idea of the process, and no I dont tape the paper down I like the cockling of the paper as it allows the paint to flow more freely and because I dont wet all od the paper it remains reasonably flat Hope this helps
Kind regards
