Bank of Trees was my first loose painting. When adding the little details on the trees for leaves, I had a hard edge and pigment pulled away with the water lightly underneath leaving an almost bare area… was my paper not dry enough from painting the trees before adding the details? Too much water under the detail flecks? Thanks.
If the leaf flecks disappear then the paper is still to wet, if their is a hard edge to the trees before you add your flecks then it has dried to much test it out on spare paper to get the Finnish your are looking for but l would add leaves when damp so they stat put
