Can you just add water to use up paint that has dried on your palette? I was going to practice the same tutorial a week later and my paint has dried up. Should I scrub y palette clean and start over? Or just add water and still use the dried paint? Thanks!
Yes you can use the paint. You may find the depth of hue to be less so you may layer colors or add more paint. I don’t often clean my palette until the hues get muddy or I need space. I try to place my colors near colors I may want to mix. I might put yellow or orange near greens, for example, so they are close for mixing. That way I get a variety of greens in my painting. Sometimes a mix gets a gray hue that’s great for shadows. Have fun mixing and reusing your palette paints. Theresa
