Seasonal delights

Hello everyone, and welcome back to another week of loose watercolour fun! We’re now well into the last few months of the year, as November’s come back around. That means all things toasty in our household, with hot soup bubbling on the stove and a nice pie or two in the oven. And Christmas is round the corner! So it’s time to start thinking about all of those seasonal crafts you’ve got planned.

It was lovely to see you all at this week’s live broadcast, which was ‘Robin’s Snack’ – the first of many Christmassy themed paintings, I’m sure. Live broadcasts are usually on a Monday night around 8pm, so be sure to keep an eye out here if you want to join in: https://www.youtube.com/@AndrewGeesonloosewatercolours/streams

I’m still in awe of all your renditions of last week’s live broadcast, ‘Autumn Bridge.’ So much so that I thought I’d give you all a showcase of some of your fabulous work! Let me know if you can spot your painting below!

That’s not all this week, as there’s also a new tutorial over on Patreon, ‘Sunshine on Snow.’ More of a landscape, this would be the perfect subject for any Christmas cards you’ve got planned this year! You can find it by following the link here: https://www.patreon.com/cw/andrewgeesonloosewatercolours

Do you want more Christmas fun this week? Well, I don’t blame you. It is one of my favourite holidays. If you want some more festive inspiration, why not watch a quick recap of ‘Bauble Time,’ a sped-up Christmas themed painting just below?

And that’s not all! Watch the free tutorial below to get in on the holiday fun. ‘Three Bright Candles’ is a lovely little holiday-themed subject guaranteed to get you in the Christmas spirit.

If you want to improve your painting, you might want to consider upgrading to a set of Loose Gang brushes. After all, we’re getting into gift-giving season just now, and a paintbrush set might be the perfect gift for you or any other budding artists in your life. If so, you can find them by following the link here: https://loosewatercolours.com/product-category/loose-gang

It’s been so chilly this week that Toby has been doing all sorts to try and keep warm. So much so that he’s actually joined the local rock and roll band!

Ruff and ready to rock.

That’s all from me just now, as I’m just about to go and put the kettle on. After all, I’m feeling rather parched. As always though, this week there’s an exclusive tutorial available especially for all of you lovely paid subscribers – after all, it’s your support that helps keep this Substack running! So I hope you all enjoy painting along to ‘Evening Fall.’

Toby and I will be back in your inboxes very soon, but until next time, it’s goodbye from us both. Have a lovely week, and happy painting!

‘Evening Fall.’
