Escalofríos de noviembre

Hello everyone, and welcome back to another week of loose watercolour fun! A slightly later edition this week, but that’s because I’ve got some exciting news (more on that later). There’s been a bit of a cold snap this week, so Toby and I have been hiding inside with a warm blanket or two. It hasn’t stopped me painting though – in fact, it’s just giving me more winter inspiration!

It was fantastic to see you all at this week’s live broadcast, which was ‘Candle Moment’ – I don’t know about you all, but it left me feeling warm and toasty inside. Live broadcasts are usually on a Monday night around 8pm, so be sure to keep an eye out here if you want to join in: https://www.youtube.com/@AndrewGeesonloosewatercolours/streams

I really enjoyed seeing all of your versions of last week’s live broadcast, ‘Snowman Time.’ Let’s take a look at some of the lovely pieces that you all came up with!

There’s some exciting news this week! After many months of rumblings, the new loosewatercolours.com website has officially been launched! Some of you might have already spotted the new updates if you’ve been on the website this week, but if not, I thought we’d take a little tour.

There’s lots of tutorials available, and we’ve worked hard behind the scenes to make sure that they’re easy to navigate.

Here’s what the new tutorials look like.

And you can also catch up on any previous live broadcasts that you particularly enjoyed!

There’s lots of previous live broadcasts for you to enjoy.

There’s lots of other exciting things to discover, but I’ll leave that for you to find out. In the meantime, let’s take a closer look at what membership of the website entails.

And that’s not all! There’s a very special offer on for all loose watercolour beginners who might want to join – a 25% discount for the first month, so you can give it a try! To redeem this, all you have to do is type the code ‘letspaint’ when prompted at the checkout. Here’s the link to the new (and updated) website if you’d like to join: https://loosewatercolours.com/shop/memberships/monthly-membership/

If that wasn’t enough excitement, there’s also a new tutorial over on loosewatercolours.com – ‘Santa Fun!’ Perfect for all your Christmassy plans, you can have a go at painting St. Nick in a wash and line style. Follow the link here to give it a go: https://loosewatercolours.com/tutorial/santa-fun/

And if you want to improve your painting by levelling up your kit, you might want to consider upgrading to a set of Loose Gang brushes. Christmas is just around the corner, and a paintbrush set might be the perfect gift for you or any other budding artists in your life. Now is the perfect time to get them as well, as they’ll arrive in time for the big day. If you’re interested, you can find them by following the link here: https://loosewatercolours.com/product-category/the-loose-gang/

That’s all from me just now, as I’m going to find a nice warm jumper to snuggle into. It’s definitely wintertime, and there’s even talk of snow on the horizon! If so, we best get prepared. As always though, this week there’s an exclusive tutorial available especially for all of you lovely paid subscribers – after all, it’s your support that helps keep this Substack running! So I hope you all enjoy painting along to ‘Poinsettia Abstract.’

Toby y yo volveremos a vuestras bandejas de entrada muy pronto, pero hasta la próxima, nos despedimos los dos. Que tengáis una buena semana y ¡feliz pintura!

Poinsettia Abstract.
